Frequently Asked Questions

Is my Hunter Board ready to go out of the box?

Yes, it is. Your Hunter Board is shipped to you with 50% battery. We do recommend you to fully charge it before using it for the first time, but if you can't wait you can ride it.

How does the suspension system work?

Thanks to Hunter's patented suspension system, fully independent from the turning system, you can have all the shock absorption you need in a rigid deck.

What does this mean for you? It means that you won't have to worry about those nasty potholes, cracks and small debris on the road while having the superior handling and precise control of rigid decks at high speeds. You can learn how we designed our proprietary suspension system here

Can I go over any hole/debris on the road?

Your Hunter Board comes with an integrated suspension system with 53 mm of wheel travel. This means that you can go over small and medium sized holes and debris on the road and your board will absorb the vast majority of the shock, keeping your ride smooth and with minimum vibrations. Can your Hunter Board absorb the shock from bigger/deeper debris/holes? Yes, it can. You'll feel some vibration, but nothing compared to what you'd experience if there were no suspension system to absorb shock.

Can my Hunter Board get wet?

Yes, but only to a certain point. Your Hunter Board is water resistant, not waterproof. This means that you can ride it in some wetter environments like in the rain, but if you submerge it, it'll break.

Do you ship to my country?

We ship to all countries but North Korea.

Can I take my Hunter Board on an airplane?

Guidelines for airline treatment of lithium battery-powered electronic devices in passenger baggage are issued by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

IATA’s guidelines stipulate that portable electronic devices brought aboard a passenger aircraft as either checked or carry-on baggage must have a watt-hour rating of less than or equal to 100Wh. Our battery pack exceeds 100Wh and will not be permitted on a commercial flight.

These guidelines are widely adopted within the airline industry but each airline defines its own regulations. We highly suggest calling the airline prior to travel, especially if you plan to take your board on an international flight. They have the final call on the subject.

Since the battery pack is easily removable, if you want to fly your Hunter Board you have two options:

1) Ship your battery pack to the your final destination and check the skateboard alone as luggage (if you're staying in a hotel just send them an email asking if they'll receive the package with your battery and keep it for you until you arrive);

2) Rent a Hunter Board battery pack at your destination using our service Rent the Power (only available in selected cities). More information on this soon.

You can always remove the  battery pack, place it in your carry-on, and check the skateboard alone as luggage. Just beware that IATA's guidelines are here for your safety.
